"While the morning call to prayer was being recited, all three of those who had been lost in thought next to Aliye woke up. Aliye was still lost in thought; the fever that the terrible hours that had passed had still kindled in her veins was still circulating in red waves on her yellow, sick face. When all three of them opened their eyes, they went to Aliye and looked at her beloved face. Her dry lips were constantly moving, her rotten eyelids, which her black eyelashes completed like silk fringes, were constantly trembling."

After more than seventy years, Vurun Kahpeye is on the agenda again with its emphasis on the importance of "education" in the rise and pain of societies. It states the danger that people who have not been able to access education can gradually turn to treason and eventually to hostility towards humanity.
