Human Rights and the Armenian Question
It is not possible to separate the economic and political interests of great powers from humanitarian concerns. Therefore, the question "Who will intervene in the national sovereignty of states in the name of humanity and how?" is inevitable. While the world public opinion is discussing this issue, demands for human rights and democracy in Turkey continue to be presented as "the hypocrisy of the Westerners".
It is possible to evaluate the history of the War of Independence as the struggle against the punishment of the Turks for the crimes they committed in the First World War, the liberation of the peoples under Ottoman rule, and the struggle against the Turks being forced to make do with a small and weak country as much as possible, that is, not only as a case of land and borders, but also as a case of human rights. The struggle against the interests and demands of the Western states towards the Ottoman Empire is a small step towards peace with the history of the Armenian issue and the importance of the Unionist trials, human rights and our own past.
