Ben de Halimce Bedreddinem

Sheikh Bedreddin lived six hundred years before today. As one of the greatest thinkers of the period, he put forward bold ideas that were far beyond his time and expressed a strong longing for social justice and freedom. In order to achieve his goal, he brought together and educated oppressed Turkish, Greek and Jewish workers. The most important peasant uprising in Anatolian history against the Ottoman rule was named after him.

I am also Halimce Bedreddinem, a documentary novel of this great people's movement. Soviet writer Radi Fiş, who focuses on Turkish and Ottoman history, meticulously examined all the documents that have survived from the period of the uprising and created a detailed picture of the period. Both the dark Middle Ages, Ottoman state administration, throne fights and the life of the people under Ottoman oppression; The idea of opposition and popular rebellion developing under a religious cover is told with a fluent novel technique.
