I Wrote What Befits a Judge
Hilmi Seçkin, in his own words, is a Republican judge who, as someone who has "reached maturity in his profession" and who has served all over Anatolia for years, holds the scales of justice in his hands and considers "fairness" as the only criterion and believes in democracy and separation of powers. This book, written by Seçkin about his life, begins with "I was born with the Republic...". While reading, the lines take you to Siirt, where Seçkin was born and raised, and you get to know the poor but honorable people of those years; Then you travel around Ordu, Gölköy, Devrek and Zonguldak with a young judge, and witness the struggles of an idealist person who dispenses justice until his retirement. Seçkin, who compiled his memoirs in this book titled I Wrote What Becomes a Judge, completes his book by saying, "Let's make common sense dominant, let's unite, expand the areas of freedom, embrace democracy, enlightenment, the culture of reconciliation, and most importantly, let's continue together from where Atatürk left off."
