"... I did not become an architect out of the blue, I had experience in the field of architecture before coming to Turkey. This experience was on both traditional and modern architecture. Therefore, when "modern architecture" is mentioned, the works of Le Corbusier and other masters or I had a lot of information about the buildings they had started to build. When I traveled around Anatolia, I came across buildings with invisible roofs. I researched how these structures should be built. " says Sedad Eldem while explaining his architectural adventure, at one point in his interviews in the book.

Sedad Eldem, an active educator and intense researcher who left his mark on nearly half a century of architectural activity; He had his name written in large letters on Turkish architecture pages with his works as well as his design and architectural views, but he never described himself as an "artist". As a matter of fact, he expresses this thought in the book: "Why should an artist be perfect, necessarily walking on the right path?" While walking on this path, he also looked for other things. I do not consider myself an "artist" or anything like that. But I say there are some antagonisms. You too You ask: "Why is this, why is it not like this?"... And to tell you the truth, I can't give real answers, that is, I can't say anything convincing..." he explains.

The book; We can describe it as the "third compilation" of the 24-hour interviews of Süha Özkan and Engin Yenal together with Sedad Eldem, which lasted from 2 December 1985 to 28 May 1986.

Following the book titled "Sedad Eldem Architect, Turkey", which was first published in English by Concept Media Publishing House in 1987, it was published in Turkish for the first time in 2005 by Literatür Publishing under the name "Sedad Eldem", exactly 18 years later. This compilation, created by Özkan and Yenal in a natural progression, without touching Eldem's word choices, considering the fluency of the topics; In fact, once again, it is a payment of respect and debt of heart to Eldem.

While re-reading Sedad Eldem from the pens of famous architects such as Doğan Tekeli, Orhan Özgüner and Turgut Cansever under the title of "Memorial Impressions" in the book, the last word is said by his admirer and beloved student Aygen Törüner. With this book carefully compiled by Yenal and Özkan, we re-read "a life dedicated to creating a modern Turkish Architectural Language" together, with a sincere, simple, fluent and meticulous work...

Interviews with Sedad Eldem ''... I didn't become an architect out of the blue, I had experience in the field of architecture before coming to Turkey. This knowledge was on both traditional and modern architecture. Therefore, I had a lot of knowledge about the buildings built or started by Le Corbusier and other masters who come to mind when "modern architecture" is mentioned. I studied all of these. When I traveled around Anatolia - especially in Central Anatolian architecture - I came across buildings whose roofs were not visible. I saw the similarities of this architecture with modern, reinforced concrete frame architecture. "I researched how these should be done..." says Sedad Eldem, while explaining his architectural adventure, at one point in his interviews in the book. Sedad Eldem, an active educator and intense researcher who left his mark on nearly half a century of architectural activity; He has written his name in large letters on Turkish architectural pages with his works as well as his design and architectural views, but he has never referred to himself as an "artist". As a matter of fact, he expresses this thought in the book: "Why should the artist follow the perfect, right path?" While walking on this path, he also looked for other things. I don't think of myself as an "artist" or anything like that. But I am saying that there are some antagonisms. You also ask: "Why is this, why is it not like this?" etc. Let me tell you the truth; "I can't give real answers, that is, I can't say anything convincing..." he explains.
