Iphigenia Tauris'te
Euripides (c.484-406 BC): He has a special place as the artist whose work has survived to the present day among the three great tragic poets produced by Athens. This feature is attributed to the fact that he was a more admired poet among the public, even though he did not win the first prize at the festivals as much as Aeschylus and Sophocles. The heroes of Euripides' plays have human weaknesses and flaws, and the tragedies they experience arise from these flaws and their passions that they cannot give up.
Euripides can be considered a classical poet, or the first of the modern poets, who produced works closest to contemporary theatre. Although Iphigenia Aulis, which was staged after his death, was a continuation of his tragedy, Iphigenia Tauris was staged earlier, in 414-413 BC. The work is about friendship and brotherly love, a subject that was highly valued in Ancient Greek society. Iphigenia Tauris, which Aristotle frequently mentions in Poetics, is considered one of the most technically successful examples of ancient theater.
