Iraqi Kurdistan Towards Independence

What adds importance to this study, which is comprehensive in many respects about Iraqi Kurdistan , is that for the first time, many issues regarding the spatial, intellectual, institutional and historical projection of Iraqi Kurdistan have been specifically addressed in a holistic manner at the same time. Of the four parts of Kurdistan, the booklet of Iraqi Kurdistan has a special importance. Although Kurds in all parts of Kurdistan have generally similar characteristics, they all have their own historical depth, world of thought, political pains, livelihood difficulties, experienced pains and socio-cultural textures and visions of the future. The most distinctive feature that distinguishes Iraqi Kurds from others is that they are the ones closest to an independent Kurdish state, despite all kinds of obstruction attempts. After all the steps taken in the name of institutionalization, the work carried out to build Iraqi Kurdistan on solid foundations during the intervening period of nearly a quarter of a century has given rise to very serious hopes for the future.

Since Iraqi Kurdistan's long-term management with advanced democratic principles and a pluralistic approach will be a good example for all countries in the region, they must first achieve this within themselves. The current situation shows that Iraqi Kurds have this potential.
