To think about very different topics such as Islamophobia, the war on terror after 9/11, orientalist captivity, the Islamist threat, racism, green fear, the attack on fundamental rights, the political logic of neoliberalism, the imperial policies of the neocons, making enemies and the new McCarthyism, liberal imperialism. It became a tool. When put into place, it can be said that Islamophobia, as a political rather than a religious concept, serves as an interpretive key to analyze and criticize the current forms of imperial policies. In fact, the intensity of the debate and Islamophobic policies show that this concept captures at the heart of some issues that are fundamental in our age.

Islamophobia, whose political aspect is often ignored, is used so frequently and sometimes inappropriately that it is not even possible to understand what is meant and how accurately it is explained. While Deepa Kumar critically analyzes this concept and examines its starting points in her book Islamophobia, Politics of Empire, she actually manages to resolve this ambiguity. It summarizes the historical background of the concept of Islamophobia and explores its relationship with today's political debates. Moreover, it becomes clear that this ideology is largely mobilized by the ruling elite to serve the political agenda. Claiming that Islamophobia is about politics, not religion, Kumar argues that Islamophobia should be fought in the field of politics. This effort both puts the concept of Islamophobia in the correct context and skillfully reveals the imperial policies in an eye-opening language.
