It Was Raining Butterflies Book Description

While he was a young naturalist, Charles Darwin set out on a five-year voyage on the British Royal Navy ship called Beagle. He sees many places from Rio de Janeiro to Australia, from Tahiti to the Falkland Islands, and makes biological, geological and anthropological observations about these places. It Was Raining Flush Butterflies is a selection of scenes from Darwin's experiences in Patagonia, Tierra del Fuego and the Strait of Magellan, including his very special observations about the nature, creatures and natives of these places.

These chapters, which we have compiled from his book "The Voyage of the Beagle", which he wrote after his return from the voyage, cover a wide range of topics, from accurate predictions about how the creatures that landed on the deck of the ship got there, to a lonely journey he took towards the Chilean mountain range, and show how good Darwin was, in addition to being a brilliant scientist.
