Kapital Volume: 1 - Hardcover
This book constitutes an important step in the last serious attempt to bring the entire work of Karl Marx and Marxism, Capital, translated from the German original into Turkish, thus filling the biggest deficiency of Turkish Marxist literature.
The book, translated from German into Turkish by Mehmet Selik and Nail Satligan, competent translators who are experts in the field of Marxist economics, was reviewed by both editors. Erkin Özalp reviewed the text, comparing it with its German version, and Oktar Türel compared it with its English version.
This edition of Yordam Kitap also includes two additional texts that complement the work:
The first of these is the 120-page manuscript, which Marx initially thought of including as chapter 6 in Volume I of Capital, but later gave up including, and which is of particular importance in terms of the logic and "architecture" of Marx's critique of political economy. The other is a "dictionary" containing the German, French, English and Turkish equivalents of the basic concepts of Capital.
The book is offered for sale in paperback and hardcover alternatives.
"[Volume I of Capital] is certainly the most terrible cannonball that has ever been thrown into the heads of the bourgeoisie (including the landowners)." -Letter from Marx to Becker, dated 17 April 1867
"Since there have been capitalists and workers on earth, there has not been a book as important for workers as this one."
-Friedrich Engels-, "Marx's Capital"
