"Once, while Hazrat Hasan and Hussein were playing in the presence of the Messenger of Allah, Gabriel (as) came and pointed to Hazrat Hussein and said, "O Muhammad! After you, your ummah will kill that son of yours." Thereupon, the Messenger of Allah cried out of grief and killed the child ( Then Gabriel (as) said, "O Messenger of Allah! I am leaving the soil with you." The Messenger of Allah took the soil and smelled it and said, "This soil smells of sorrow, gloom, and calamity." He said and addressed Ummu Salama: "Whenever this land turns into blood, know that this son of mine is murdered."
One day, Hazrat Abu Ayyub al-Ansari entered the presence of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). At that time Hz. Hasan and Hz. Hüseyin was playing next to him. Hz. He asked the Prophet, "Do you love them, O Messenger of Allah?" asked. Hz. The Prophet (pbuh) answered this question as follows:
- How could I not like it! Those two are my basils in the world. (Zehebî, Siyeru A'lâmi'n-Nübelâ, III, 282; Suyûtî, Tarîhu'l-Hulefâ, p. 188.)" ...
