“King of Kurdistan” is a work belonging to the epic genre. Many versions of this national epic were produced in different periods. Kurds do not know that they are the first creators of this wonderful story. 3,000 lines of classical poetry have survived from the Middle Ages to the present day. The destruction of libraries and the attempted destruction of the Kurdish nation resulted in the loss of original manuscripts. The copy we are working on is an example that has been preserved wholeheartedly in one of the Kurdish folk poet families that preserved the tradition of folk poetry.
