This book, which consists of Hovsep Hayreni's various articles, notifications and discussions published on the internet between 2009 and 2014, focuses on the Kurdish-Armenian historical accounting in the context of the 1915 genocide and the tense relations behind it. The inequity that has manifested itself in recent nation-centered Kurdish historiography regarding those processes. It criticizes different approaches and denialism. It encourages Kurdish intellectuals to act more fearlessly and open-heartedly in their social confrontation with history. It also aims to develop an understanding in which the victims, who need solidarity, will be more sensitive to each other. Some reactions to his writings based on the history and extinction adventure of the Armenian people in and around him, and as observed in many other cases, the condescending view of the past of the Armenian people, the denialist approach and unfair judgments are seen in Turkey not only by official history and unofficial left-wing derivatives, but also to a significant extent. It showed that it was also shared by Kurdish historians. This need for discussion resulted in a series of polemical articles written in a minefield full of taboos and prejudices. These articles provide an important basis for discussion about how we perceive historical realities from our current position, as well as the philosophy of history and what kind of future we have for the people. We are discussing history, but what we really do is to understand the present and rebuild the future. All these discussions show that we need to approach history objectively and go a long way towards building fair and peaceful relations. While Hayreni did not neglect to adhere to fairness, objectivity, and use a careful and constructive language in his writings, he also took an extremely outspoken and critical attitude. Therefore, it would be appropriate to say that discussion articles offer a productive ground that is constructive, instructive and encourages dialogue. -Recep Maraşlı-
