Kurdish National Society Xoybûn
Xoybûn Society (Being Oneself) forms the basis of the conceptualization of modern Kurdish nationalism in Turkey. This delegation, established in 1927, aims to unite all Kurds within an independent Kurdistan, regardless of religion, dialect and social class.
The modernity of the Xoybûn Society also lies in the importance its leaders attached to political propaganda. This propaganda was reinforced by significant investments in diplomatic contacts, often of a semi-official nature, with states (Iran, France, Great Britain, Italy, Soviet Union) as well as with non-state actors of the region (Armenians and Turkish opposition). On the other hand, Xoybûn managed to be included in a system of political-military alliances and thus managed to turn into an undeniable regional actor, such as in the Ağrı rebellion.
