  • Many Kurdish students worked in student associations during their education years or are working today. However, due to the lack of serious studies on the history of organization of Kurdish students, it is not known what happened in the past. Probably not many students have heard of the first legal Kurdish student association, the Kurdish Student-Hêvê Society. The purpose of this study is to introduce this association and its students.

    The Kurdish Student-Hêvî Association, which was founded in 1912, was closed with the beginning of the First World War and was reopened after the war. For this study, primary sources were used: Rojî Kurd and Hetawî Kurd magazines published by Hêvî, and Jîn magazine and Jîn newspaper published later. The book, which includes a wide selection of these publications, also investigates the accuracy of data on the subject in other sources.
