Kürtler Aslında… Uç Sağın Kürtlere Bakışı
Kurds Actually... The Far Right's View of the Kurds Book Description
“Instead of dealing with the Kurdish issue independently, the far right evaluated it as 'communist Kurdism', associated with communism, and claimed that the communists used the Kurdish issue as a 'tool' to achieve their goals in Turkey. In 'Communist Kurdism', the emphasis was more on 'communism', thus the Kurdish issue was tried to be solved within the framework of 'anti-communist policies' and in cooperation with the state in this regard.”
The Kurdish issue, one of Turkey's most fundamental democratic agendas, has perhaps gone through some phases like every social issue, and cannot be understood only by looking at how it is seen now.
“Kurds Actually...” In The Far Right's View of the Kurds, Bayram Koca examines the view of the far right components, which he defines as secular Turkist-Turanists, mainstream nationalists, mainstream Islamists, and radical Islamists, towards the Kurds between 1945 and 1980, by examining primary sources and examining the views of the far right components of that period. He examines it by interviewing actors. It also presents us with the commonalities and differences between nationalist and political Islamist movements in their understanding of the Kurdish issue. In addition to making a significant contribution to the nascent field of far-right studies, the book offers its readers the historical path of the "survival" concern in the far-right's approach to the Kurdish issue and helps to make sense of current debates in a new framework.
