After the famous Kurdish statesman Saladin Eyyubi entered into an intense struggle with Western nations due to the Crusades, the West, especially after achieving its reform and renaissance in the 16th century, was turning its direction towards the east with a different method. Undoubtedly, one of the greatest focuses of interest in this translation was Mesopotamia, which was the cradle of many civilizations, and the people who were the heirs of these civilizations.
That is why, starting from the 16th century, we come across the Travelogues of Western travelers. These travelogues about Anatolia and Mesopotamia, the gate of tribes, which are mostly described as Near East in Western literature, and the Caucasus, Iran and Kurdistan, the bridge of tribes, continue to increase in the following centuries and finally turn into an explosion in the 19th century.
