The Last Witnesses of Dersim 38/1937-1938 Oral History Project Interim Report can be considered as both a continuation and a new and original example of oral history studies on Dersim. Because, on the one hand, it attaches importance to the oral history accumulation regarding Dersim 38 and opens a channel to carry this accumulation into itself, but at the same time, it goes further and claims to be an oral history study of international standards.
In this sense, the project is an effort to "record the most decisive lesson of the century", in the words of Giorgio Agamben.
Another feature of the project is that it is the first academic oral history study directly organized by institutions in Dersim.
