Late Medieval Europe
The five centuries following the 10th century were a period in which the foundations of economic systems and social theories that remain influential in the world until today were laid down. Emphasizing the famines and epidemics experienced in the 14th century in this book by Steven A. Epstein is of central importance to examine the changing economic situation of Europe. Epstein examines Europe in all its aspects from east to west, north to south, and focuses on family life and feudal society, as well as the developments in trade, crafts and agriculture. Late Medieval Europe: Economic and Social History, 1000-1500 deals with important issues in the social and economic history of Europe from the year 1000, when economic growth began, to the end of the 1400s, when a global trade understanding began to develop. In addition, within the framework of Christian culture, it reveals the value judgments that are the cause of the conflicts with Muslims, Jews and dissidents within the borders of Europe and with the Islamic and Tatar states with which they are border neighbors.
