Letters
Cahit Zarifoglu's letters in this book mostly belong to the years when Mavera magazine was published. And almost all of them were written to people who have relations with this magazine. Some of these were written to his writer-poet friends with whom he set out on the journey, and some were written to the writer-poet-candidates who sent products to the magazine. A few of them are the ones he wrote to his family.
In Zarifoglu's letters, we see his understanding of art and literature explained in a very special language. How does he look at art and literature and how does he say we should look at it? We can find answers to all these questions from these letters. In this respect, these texts reflect his poetic understanding, just like his open letters, and perhaps their real importance should be sought here. There are also clues about his personality and worldview in his writings. When we consider all these together, these letters offer us important opportunities to understand his personality and artistic attitude.
