Lighthouse
In To the Lighthouse, one of the building blocks of modern literature, Virginia Woolf writes about Ramsay based on her own life experiences. tells the story of his family. Focusing on a family, the social and individual transformations experienced after the war are traced.
The author, who masterfully uses the stream of consciousness technique in the novel, makes the minds of the large cast of characters transparent to the reader. The minds of the characters gathered around the lighthouse are literally illuminated and revealed by the light it emits. Characters with completely different views on many issues, from politics to women's rights, from marriage to art, begin to question life and their own lives in the Ramsays' summer house. Thanks to the breaks in the narrative and time of the novel, Virginia Woolf has successfully fictionalized the hidden thoughts of a very crowded family about life and its transformation over time.
