Little Hippias
Plato is undoubtedly one of the most important and influential philosophers in the history of thought. He contributed to the institutionalization of philosophy and the formation of the written tradition in philosophy, and was the initiator of the idealist philosophy tradition that would determine the entire medieval thought with its two-world metaphysics. Plato, who is also important in terms of his influence on Christian Medieval philosophy and Islamic thought, addressed all the problems discussed throughout the history of thought hundreds of years ago and built the first major philosophical system. The main subject of Little Hippias, one of Plato's youth dialogues, is "whether it was on purpose or Is it better to do evil, injustice and injustice without knowing it? In Little Hippias, Plato reveals his own views, as in other Socratic dialogues, which he deals with in order to introduce his teacher Socrates. He has strong oratory skills, is very successful in the art of persuasion, and refers to Homer as "a person who hides what he thinks and speaks differently than he thinks." Hippias, Eudikos and Socrates, who says "I hate you as much as the gates of Hades", are the actors of the dialogue. Although the point that in order to lie properly about a subject, all the details of the subject must be known, and therefore "those who lie knowingly are superior to those who lie unknowingly" contradicts Socrates' understanding of virtue throughout the dialogue, it takes its place as one of the successful examples of "sophistical refutation".
