Marco Polo - Hardcover Book
Venetian Marco Polo (1254-1324) was a young man when he, along with his merchant father and uncle, appeared before Kublai Khan, the Mongol ruler who ruled the entire Asian continent from Iran to Turkmenistan, from Afghanistan to China.
The Great Khan took a likingto this young man, who saw what no one else could see in the places he passed through until he came to him, and told it like no one else could.
He kept him with him for years, assigning him to collect the taxes of his state and to tour his empire and tell his impressions.
