Memories (Sheikh Mahmud Barzenci Movement from the Word of Its Witness)
When we reinterpret with the data available today, why there was no response to Sheikh Mahmud Berzenci 's letter requesting the support of the Soviets in his war against British imperialism, completely different conclusions are reached. The British, who created 23 Arab states in the Arabian peninsula, made an agreement with the states that denied the Kurds and shared the Kurdish geography with them. The same states foolishly declared their allies as "anti-imperialists" and the Kurds as "collaborators of imperialism". While the Kurdish geography and nation were being fragmented and divided with the approval of the imperialist states, they signed the legitimacy of the Turkish Republic in Lausanne. However, for some reason, the Kurds were praised as "servants of imperialism" and the Turkish Republic as "the leader of Muslim nations with their struggle against imperialism", in a fictional scenario. Today, the same tradition has not given up on using the same discourse, despite all that has happened. On the other hand, hostility towards Kurds, which left its mark on the Middle East in the 20th century, continues in the 21st century. Without deepening in the light of social sciences, it is not possible to analyze the current period, nor to get rid of the misperceptions, misconceptions and ignorance regarding the Middle East and the Kurds.
Tehran, Damascus, Istanbul or Cairo... The book in your hands by Refik Hilmi, who gave various interviews in all political centers of the Middle East, sheds light on the future as well as the past by displaying important experiences and historical memories. For this reason, Refik Hilmi's "Memories" are of indispensable importance for Kurds, Hasan Hişyar Serdi's "Views and Memories"; "My Concise Life" by Ekrem Cemil Pasha; "Doza Kurdistan" by Kadri Cemil Pasha; It took its place next to Nureddin Zaza's autobiographies "My Life as a Kurd" and İhsan Nuri Pasha's "Ağrı Dağı Rebellion".
