Mewlûda Nebî – Mevlid-i Şerif

Molla Bateyí's Mevlíd-i Nebí is an original Kurdish work written in accordance with the Mevlid tradition of the Islamic world. There are copies ranging from approximately 550 to 570 couplets. The copy of Mevlit, which is the subject of this study, consists of 557 couplets. The work is an example of a masnavi written in the aruz "failatun failatun failun" meter and in a harmonious style. In the work, rhetorical elements such as simile, simile, eloquence, metaphor, tenasüp, allusion, repetition, intak, contrast, and invocation, which are the basic figures of speech of classical divan literature, are encountered. (ilhan: 2013). There are plenty of rhyme elements in the text, and the rhymes are seen as rich, full and half. Although the language of Molla Hüseyin-i Bateyí Mevlidi is understandable enough for the common people to understand, it also has an aesthetically pleasing feature in terms of literary taste. Not only the Kurdish vocabulary is seen as a competent example of classical eastern literature, but also Arabic, Persian and Turkish vocabulary along with common themes are found in the work.
