Michel Foucault is the hero of a complete adventure of freedom, both in his thoughts and in his life. It is also possible to infer this interesting character of his from the statements he sometimes uses in interviews, such as "The main purpose of life and work is to become what one is not at the beginning; the game is only worth playing when you do not know what will happen at the end; each of my books is my biography."

Foucault avoids making definitive and disturbing judgments as much as possible about what people experience, do and think. On the contrary, he pays more attention to understanding and examining them. This is the main reason why both his private life, his academic studies, and the ideas he puts forward in his works are the subject of much discussion and interpretation.

How else can one read the personality and intellectual character of Foucault, who responded to a question asked in an interview by saying, "My role is to show people that they are freer than they feel themselves to be?"
