“Who is Mitra? What do we know about this god? Essentially, the yasht hymn is dedicated to him in the fifth part of the Zend Avesta, the holy book of Zoroastrians (Mazdeists).

The sun, the all-seeing light, the symbol of truth, the symbol of Mithras; It is the conscience of divine morality and its close intermediary next to humans. He is a god close to the human heart; It warms suffering and overwhelmed humanity with its rays. Mitra is the protector of the Truth, who guarantees prosperity in morality and social order to humanity in order to act on the path of peace and consent. My research leads me to claim that the roots of Anatolian Alevism lie in the system of beliefs called mithraism, a community of beliefs that belonged to the Iranian sphere and long before Mazdeism, reformed from Zoroaster. In this work, I want to show how the mystical path of the Alevis and its rules (Way and Erkan) have their roots in the ancient religiosity of the Iranian people. We will investigate the structures and rituals of the Alevi faith inherited from the Mitra cult, the sanctified natural elements and their symbols, and the embodiment of the divine and its place in the belief system that accepts humans as the center.
