Moll Flanders, XVII. It tells, in her own words, the life story of a woman who was born in 19th century England. Moll Flanders, who was born in a dungeon, lived as a prostitute for twelve years and a thief for twelve years, went through five marriages, and whose adventures extend from England to America, is one of the most interesting heroines of English literature with her controversial view of life and her in-depth portrait.

Moll Flanders, one of the first examples of the novel genre, sheds light on the social values of the period, and on the other hand, clearly reveals the criminal world and sexuality issues, without worrying about giving moral lessons. The struggle of the protagonist of the book, which has made a great impact since its first publication in 1722, to survive in society without giving up his basic needs and without compromising his personality, has caused Moll Sanders to be compared with Defoe's most famous work, Robinson Crusoe. Because Moll Fanders is as lonely as Robinson Crusoe, who was stranded on an island in the middle of the ocean, in the patriarchal society that he faced with great devotion and cunning.
