The strange embassy of that imaginary state in the Mediterranean, which will seem very familiar to us, but whose diplomatic meaning is unknown, in a seaside town that the old Prince Albert used to visit every time.

He is the Mr. Consul not only of the embassy but of the whole town: the diplomat of a "tangerine republic" whose location no one knows, where he never comes or goes, whose existence is not questioned, and the leading actor of the town scene. This scene is a reality that no one finds strange, a dream that everyone sees collectively.

In the letters he wrote to state leaders and institutions about every development in the world of politics and diplomacy, Mr. Consul; He does not spare the diplomatic and philosophical language he uses in his speeches to his close friends from the town during the invitations he gives, to the embassy employees, the postman, the traffic police, and even the son of the ice cream seller in the neighboring building. He gets a response: Whether it's a house painter or the mayor, almost everyone in the town is the creator of the real tirades of this imaginary world - even if they are only slightly inspired by Mr. Consul.
