Muslims in the Modern World

The process of rupture and transformation that the modern world was experiencing, especially towards the end of the 20th century, also marked a turning point for Muslims. Discussions that may bring about changes in the political as well as intellectual roots of Islamic thought have left Muslims face to face with two choices. Either by participating in the processes envisaged by modernity - progress, individualism, democracy, liberalism, civil society, consumption, etc... - and giving it a new "spirit" " will be given, or the possibilities and ways out will be sought to make itself visible and protect itself as a way of life, relying on its own "theoretical" foundations, without closing inside and, more importantly, without becoming "anti" for the sake of being anti.
