My Name is Written on the Line of Angels

The struggle to change being human in this world by forcing "normality", which can be traced step by step in Hüseyin Kiran's oeuvre, is My Name of Angels. It turns into a powerful metaphor in It's Written on Your Line. Both the story and the reflection on the language of the individual's opposition to all kinds of authority, eventually turning into an authority himself, developing and inevitably being overthrown, create questioning effects.

The sharp mouth of the scalpel cuts down those who swear allegiance, those who accept and those who comply. "I understand. I was the master. I was going to meet myself. This was another name for meeting with nature. Nature was keeping herself buried in me. That's why I found the echo of various animals within me, I was my brother with them. Being able to get angry so easily connects me to the brotherhood of lava-spewing volcanoes. The fact that I could wait silently like the dead made me a sea and I became a river with my changeability... And so, what was I going to say to myself..."
