During this period of his life, which was spent in pain and poverty, he joined the populist-revolutionary secret political organizations for the first time and joined the Volga Volga. He carried out revolutionary propaganda and agitation among the people in the villages along his borders. Gorky describes this adolescence period, full of rich experiences and colorful adventures, which will play an important role in him becoming a realistic writer in the future, in full detail in 'My Universities'.
