My approach is a little different. For example, I think that the stories of the Garden of Eden, Noah's Flood, and the Tower of Babel, as told in the first chapters of the book of Genesis, express more than fascinating myths.

Most scholars include the Genesis chapter of the Bible in the category of documents that evolved from a much older oral tradition. The legendary book is given the subtitle The Birth of Civilization because the book takes us to the beginning of the Bible narratives, that is, the birth of civilization.
