Nature of the Renaissance
How is it that the Renaissance represents the strongest period of magical thought on the threshold of modernity, just before the seventeenth century? How does it happen that the man and even the philosopher of this age lose all historical and intellectual memory and return to the primitive understanding of nature, in a period when antiquity is reborn? Is it possible to suddenly abandon all the accumulation of philosophical and scientific knowledge and return to the primitive mind like this? Following these and similar questions, this study aims to understand the Renaissance within its own conditions, to grasp the ancient philosophical problems revealed in the magical nature design, and to show the legacy left from the Renaissance to the modern world. Like all of Hakan Çörekçioğlu's works, this meticulous work will fill an important gap in our world of thought.
