My first Essay-Remarks book is called Passing (1986). I used this name to mean what I saw in passing and what came to my mind about it, and what I was able to write down in detail.
Frankly, as I passed by, the variety of things I encountered increased, and their languages became more and more unraveled. Thus, it became inevitable for me to name my new essays Encounters (1993). Later, leaving my essays and remarks to the testimony of the interviews I had with me, my book Other Encounters was published in 1996. But a traffic attack I suffered at that very moment turned out to be the worst, deadliest of all the encounters and encounters and encounters I had ever experienced. Two years later, I started my second life, which was a rush around. In this way, I hold on to my encounters with other beautiful, sensitive, meaningful, loyal moments of my writing life, and strangely enough, laughingly, I clap my eyes on both cheeks and say: "Well, my dear, if it is meant to be, so be it; and I will describe the encounters between life and death as such Encounters in Such Chaos" I just said "baptize it and move on" and left. The year is 2002.
How quickly, how quickly time flies. Nine years have passed and in this rapid flow of time, I have come across brand new things that I would never have thought possible. I even made myself forget that I was a "literary" writer and pursued a brand new, sparkling Democratic Constitution that belonged to civil society, to me, to myself. So much so that, with some surprise, I looked at this last book of mine, which includes my essays, remarks, conferences and interviews:
I have put the New Encounters seal on it.
