Among all the philosophers who have lived in the world, the one most worthy of the definition of "philosopher" or even "philosopher" is probably Friedrich Nietzsche (1884-1900), who was not actually a philosopher but a classical philologist. Nietzsche, who struggled with Western culture integrated with Christianity throughout his productive life, wrote his work, which was an objection to this culture, in his sometimes destructive and harsh, sometimes soft and subtle, but always striking style. The basis of his philosophy is the questioning and elimination of all doctrines that hinder the enthusiastic energy of man, no matter how deep-rooted, and instead the "affirmation of life". In this context, he declared himself the Antichrist and claimed that God was dead, and attempted to reform Western culture with his Zoroastrian identity, in his philosophy that he created with key concepts such as the Apollon-Dionysus duality, the will to power, the eternal return, and the superman.

This biography, which places Nietzsche's thoughts in the context of his time (the rise of Prussian militarism, Darwinian science, anti-Semitism, youth and freedom movements), tells the life of the unfortunate philosopher in all its dimensions. Lou expresses the burning effect of his hopeless love for Salome on his personality and tries to understand the reasons why he lost his mind at the age of forty-four. He meticulously examines his works, which were distorted and turned into a philosophical support for Nazism by his sister, who confiscated his intellectual legacy after his death, and who was freed from this shackle only decades later, together with all their sub-meanings.

19-20. Author Professor Julian Young, an expert on 19th-century German Philosophy, has made a special section on Nietzsche's life and philosophy in this most comprehensive biography written to date. Thus, the reader who wishes can read only the sections related to Nietzsche's life, and those who wish can only read the sections related to his works. Of course, the author's wish is to read both the shocking works and the touching life of the famous philosopher.
