Notes from the Coma
JJ O'Malley is the only son of a single father who was adopted from an orphanage. JJ, who grew up with a troubled childhood in a small, rural area in Ireland, decides to become one of the subjects of the "Somnos Project" after losing his best friend. The project includes studies on the method of inducing a deep coma for three months, which is thought to create an opportunity for EU prisons in the future.
Mike McCormack, a science fiction writer with many literary awards, constructs his novel Notes from a Coma, which he completed in seven years, with an intertwined spiral weave, thanks to the footnotes he uses in an extraordinary way. At one end of the spiral, the story of the novel's protagonist, JJ O'Malley, is told through the words of five important characters who know him closely. We learn what happened before the coma thanks to these short notes.
At the other end of the spiral is the "Event Horizon", which consists of footnotes that run parallel to the story. Thanks to the footnotes, it is possible to instantly return to the present moment and face the cold facts of the experiment. Are you ready for a "brain decay meditation" with JJ, thanks to his psychological fiction novel Notes from a Coma?
