Homer (c. IXth century BC): Although there is no definitive information about his life, he was born in the IXth century BC. It is thought that he lived on Chios Island in the century BC. Homer, whose works were considered the source of all kinds of knowledge in the ancient Greek states, has managed to influence almost all types of literature until today with his epics Iliad and Odyssey. Odyssey is a great epic that tells the adventures of Odysseus, one of the heroes of the Trojan War, during his ten-year journey while returning to his country Ithake.
