Öksüz Turgut - All His Works 11 Book Description “Our ancestors, the Turks, traveled in the places between Siberia, China and Iran. Their real homeland was the "Altay Mountains". Our ancestors were known for their bravery since time immemorial... The proverb "strong as a Turk" was not said in vain. Our grandfathers were very strong, very powerful wrestlers... The reason for this was... to make a living with clean, simple food. This is why even now the Turks living in mountainous and plateau areas are strong and beautiful. Our ancestors loved milk very much and used it in various ways. They ate a lot of kebabs and made some pilafs and boiled dishes from wheat. The dress of the ancient Turks consisted of a lot of trousers, a short coat in summer, a fur raincoat with a belt at the waist and woven cloths in winter. The household goods of the Ancient Turks, who lived in densely woven, thick, rain-proof tents, consisted of rugs, a few pots and excellent weapon sets. There was no Turk without a horse and weapon. Alexander the Great, considered one of the greatest sultans, had needlessly killed hundreds of thousands of men and oppressed his own subjects. In short, the sultans of old times, in alliance with the priests and feudal lords, would oppress their own subjects and all people worse than animals. The greatest concern of the Turkish sultans was to make their nation, their Turks, rich and to survive...
