Eşcinsellik Üzerine
Since the mid-twentieth century, with the enrichment of social perception and the libertarian mentality bringing freedom to the lifestyle, homosexuality, which is seen as an "orientation" today, especially in developed countries, has been discussed throughout history and has often been accepted as immorality, crime and sin. Adler, unlike most of his colleagues, developed the thesis that homosexuality was acquired, not congenital. He argued that homosexuality resulted from a large-scale loss of courage, that is, from not being adequately prepared for the sexual role to be played in life, and that it emerged as a result of the error in educating the person concerned as if he were one of the "other" people in society. Adler also discussed the issues of sadism, masochism, fetishism and excitability, which he saw as sexual perversions, together with their history, and evaluated these "perversions" as anomalies that needed to be treated.
