People of the Apocalypse
He was standing motionless under a mass consisting of hundreds of thousands of tons of iron and concrete mixture, the sweat of fear leaking from his forehead and into his eyes. The reason why he stood still was that he had no chance of turning left or right under all that heavy weight. The weight's height above the ground was only as high as his ribcage. He was naked and bare. As she moved, the hardness and humidity of the concrete touched her nipples. Could he escape from here?
Bekir Yildiz, one of the masters of Turkish literature, perceives and interprets the social and the individual together in the Stories in "The People of the Judgment", which sometimes proceeds with a surrealist narrative, and gradually examines and defines the human being in depth in the situation he lives in.
The second part, called "Judged Through Time", includes speeches, investigations and writings that are Bekir Yildiz's reckoning with his own production and age. In fact, this is a reckoning with a certain outcome, because he has not changed his stance towards life and has not taken part in any action for which he cannot be held accountable. Bekir Yildiz, a literary writer who has not received any education.
