Peter Pan Book Description: This book, which begins with the sentence "All children grow up, except one," tells the never-ending adventures of a child who does not want to grow up: Peter Pan. One night, Peter Pan visits Wendy and her siblings' room with the fairy Tinker Bell. He wants to take them to the Land of Dreams, but he has one condition: They must promise that they will not grow up like the other children in the Land of Dreams. Peter and the children go on many adventures in Dreamland, but these adventures have an end for the children except Peter Pan, because all the children grow up, except one. This entertaining tale, written in JM Barrie's style full of humor and irony, makes us adults question childhood, growing up, and ultimately our adult lives, free from dreams that we forget even as we grow up.
