Philosophy of Information
Philosophy of knowledge, or epistemology as it is commonly used, is one of the two basic disciplines of philosophy, along with metaphysics or ontology. Since the most fundamental elements that determine modern civilization are knowledge and science, the philosophy of knowledge has taken precedence over the philosophy of existence since the New Age, and all philosophers of modern times have discussed the issue of knowledge in detail.
Philosophy of Information deals with the issue of information, which is gaining increasing importance in today's society, both systematically/problematically and historically, in a very clear and understandable manner. The work consists of three parts. In the first chapter, the subject of knowledge is discussed through all concepts and problems related to knowledge, and how knowledge should be understood, its source, possibility, limits and accuracy are discussed. The second chapter reveals how the subject of knowledge was addressed by philosophers such as Plato, Aristotle, Descartes, Locke, Hume and Kant in the Ancient, Middle Ages and Modern Ages. The third chapter deals with the approach of Continental epistemology, which developed as a reaction to classical epistemology, to the subject of knowledge, especially through phenomenology, hermeneutics, postmodernism, critical theory and feminist epistemology.
