Except for my childhood summer holidays in the mansion on the Island, I always lived in the rooms of these concrete apartment buildings. The ceilings of the concrete rooms, which were previously very high and made of plasterboard, gradually became lower and simpler, and the size of the rooms gradually became smaller. The chains of the chandeliers inherited from my grandmother's family were first shortened, and then we sold them to people who moved places with us by upgrading from narrow rooms to larger houses with higher ceilings. For some reason, my grandmother always despised those people who had the power to buy our things from us. He had seen and experienced all the magnificence of an era with his languid green eyes. I envied, envied and dreamed of it just by hearing it from him.
