Platon ve Akademia
With this book, we have compiled and published almost all of the ancient utopias that are almost unknown in our country.
The Sun Islands, which we took at the very beginning of the book, are the most radical utopia created by ancient times, an intellectual masterpiece, and have influenced generations for centuries. The second work in the book, The Women's People's Assembly, belongs to the famous satirist master of Ancient Greece, Aristophanes. Plato's Atlantis Legend has been occupying all humanity for 2 thousand years. Another article you will find in this book is, in Plato's own words, "The Second Best State". The source of the sixth and seventh utopias is Aristotle, but the real authors are our fellow citizens.
One is Phaleas of Kadıköy, the other is Hippodamus of Mlet... Then we meet the utopia of Euhemeros of Massene, written by Siculus, and then Hesiod's "Longing for the Golden Age". And this pleasant journey we offer to the reader. It is completed with Lukianos' "Journey to the Land of Utopias". But in Ancient Utopias, you will also witness the long and difficult history of humanity's search for equality, brotherhood and happiness.
