Aristotle (384-322 BC): One of the important figures of ancient Greek philosophy, Aristotle was a student of Plato, the teacher of Hermias the Tirana and Alexander the Great, and the founder of the Lykeion school. In the Middle Ages, Jewish and Muslim thinkers influenced Christian theology, especially scholastic thought, and its influence spread to the Enlightenment Period, the Renaissance and the Reformation. He is the founder of classical logic. His extant writings on biology, botany, zoology, chemistry, ethics, logic, metaphysics, rhetoric, philosophy of science, physics, poetry, political theory and psychology are considered founding texts in all the mentioned fields.
