Writing is the noblest of human actions. So much so that the most distinguishing feature that distinguishes man from other beings is that he is a being that has writing and can write. Our civilization has discovered this unique and distinctive feature of man with a high consciousness and turned it into an art. He attributed a unique value to it and elevated it to the position of a means of searching for beauty.
In addition to the unique works exemplifying the art of calligraphy in our world of culture and civilization, works that theoretically ground this art have also been written. Risâle-i Hat - Hatt's Poem is a work in which the applications, history, technique and subtleties of the art of calligraphy are written as poetry. XVI. The work, written by Ebu'l Meâli (Hâfız-zâde), the son of Hâfız-ı Acem, the student of Sheikh Hamdullah, one of the important figures of 19th century calligraphy, explains the literary and spiritual subtleties of calligraphy and exemplifies it with methods.
