During the four years I studied in Mecca, I collected and recorded the sentences, formulaic terms and expressions I saw and heard among the public, which I found in newspapers, magazines and books prepared especially for the purpose of teaching Arabic to the British with a modern technique.

In this regard, foreign language teaching books prepared with a modern method in the West were used.
