Privacy of Power
Asli Zengin expresses the purpose of the research that forms the basis of her book as follows: "The effort to understand the lives of women who engage in sex work requires seeing the state, the forms the state takes, the violence of the state, and how this violence is embodied and becomes material and imaginary parts of bodies, human relations and lives. Sex "Looking at the lives of working women actually makes it possible to turn our eyes to our own lives and see the state that is often easily overlooked."
The author states that her research, which is presented in three chapters titled "Privacy of Voice", "Sexuality of Space: Places of Sexuality", and "Gender of Violence and Power", contributes to sex workers gaining priority in the feminist agenda, encourages feminist studies on prostitution, and the silence surrounding this issue. He hopes it will break.
