Railway Tramps consists of autobiographical stories that shed light on London's period when he lived on the streets as a tramp. London, who lives in freight wagons and mixes with the homeless people who travel from one end of America to the other, appears before the reader by telling stories of his experiences. These stories, with the economic depression in America in the background, convey the struggle of people living on the railways to survive under bad conditions, with the author's language that is far from complex.
